Our Philanthropy

Our motto: Philanthropy 1-2-3

As individuals with time, talents, and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters.  Secondly, we participate in local service projects and thirdly, we serve the greater good.

Our chapter women participate in various philanthropies inlcuding Relay for Life, Up Til Dawn and other campus events to benefit our fellow Greek organizations. Chapter fundraising events support causes such as the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, natural disaster relief funds, and multiple sclerosis research.

Eta Iota chapter has recently adopted a new community partner, the Children's Respite Care Center. Our first philanthropy supporting the center, Kickball for Kids, not only raised funds to buy a new playground set but also invited children from the center to come play in the tournament. To all of us at Eta Iota philanthropy is more than handing money to an organization, but making an impact in the lives of those we help.

Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the national philanthropic partner of Kappa Kappa Gamma, has been supported through the donation of thousands of books and volunteer hours to Boys and Girls Clubs, elementary schools and hospitals.

Our chapter also supports the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation with financial gifts and Rose McGill magazine subscription sales to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of our two museums.
