Gamma Alpha at Kansas State University
Chapter Activities
Date Parties:
Each semester we have several date parties. The themes range anywhere from western to rock n' roll. Date parties are a great opportunity to raid the costume closet and dance the night away.
Sisterhood Events:
Sisterhood events allow all the active women in the house to get together for a night full of fun whether it be decorating cookies or taking a Zumba class. It is a great way to take a break from school and have fun with your sisters.
Functions:
Each semester we have functions with some of the fratnernities on campus. The functions in the past have been ice cream parties and game nights.
Homecoming:
There is a week every fall dedicated to Kansas State homecoming. During homecoming week, we compete againist the different greek pairings in activities such as, Pant the Chant, Paint the Ville, Decorating Spirit Sign, Wildcat Request Live, Yard Art, and ending the week at the homecoming parade where the winners are announced. This year Kappa was paired with the Alpha Tau Omega and Delta Chi Fratnerities and placed first in the campus wide homecoming event.
Family Days:
Througout the school year, we have events to get our families involved at Kappa. In the fall, our Dad's enjoy tailgating and going to a K-State game while in the spring, our Mom's enjoy brunch and a silent auction. We spend a day in the spring with our silbings whether it be at the park or going to a K-State baseball game. We enjoy having our families visit so they can take a glimpse of what our life is like here at K-State and especially at Kappa.
