Philanthropy 1-2-3
There are many individuals in Kappa who have time, talent and treasure. We first support our families. We secondly participate in local projects, and thirdly we look at the greater good and aspire to implement projets with far-reaching results.

Philanthropy has been one of Gamma Gamma chapter's main strengths for the past few decades. Within the past five years, we have seen a significant increase in our ability to make a difference through Mr. Whitman, our annual main philanthropy event.

Our local philanthropies include:

Kappa Saturdays: A monthly craft-making workshop that we put on at the public library for preschool and elementary school-age children.

Odd-Fellows Home: We volunteer and host many events at the local retirement community.

Dr. Seuss Day: This isanother annual event put on by Gamma Gamma chapter where our campus is opened to preschool and elementary-age children on the national holiday. We have many booths of arts and crafts available to the children.

Mr. Whitman: Our most popular event on campus, this is a male beauty pagent which brings together both greek and independent men to vie for the Mr. Whitman title. Every year we pick an organization that embodies change and promotes learning to receive the profits gathered. This past year, we raised  over $20,000 to go to the Lake Nkruba Orphanage in Uganda. Mr. Whitman proceeds also go to the Kappa Kappa Gamma foundation.
