Gamma Iota at your Washington University
Gamma Iota Chapter

Gamma Iota Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was installed at Washington University by Sarah Harris Rowe (Grand President) on September 10, 1921. Our chapter, which was the fifth sorority at Washington University, started with 15 pledges and has initiated over 1500 members. Before the sororities were moved into the Women's Building in 1928, they each had suites in McMillan Hall, which served as the female dormitory on campus.

Today, Gamma Iota is the largest sorority on campus and is an active part of Greek life. Kappa Kappa Gamma has been Greek Week champions in both 2007 and 2008 with two sisters crowned as Greek Week Queen both years. Additionally, Kappa has been well represented at all Greek philanthropy events, winning Beta 4-Square, Sigma Chi Derby Days and Chi Omega's Volleyball Classic.
