Gamma Kappa at the College of William and Mary
"The owl, the key, the fleur-de-lis,
the blue & blue...
Yeah, that's for me!"
Mission Statement of Kappa Kappa Gamma
Kappa Kappa Gamma is an organization of women which seeks for every member throughout her life bonds of friendship, mutual support, opportunities for self growth, respect for intellectual development, and an understanding of and allegiance to positive ethical principles.

Scholarship
Kappa Kappa Gamma promotes a broad college experience where scholarship and intellectual development are priorities, resulting in the impressive achievements of its members. Our combined GPA is above average and our involvement in Kappa helps us succeed! Our Academic Excellence Committee provides extra academic support and resources to sisters, and offers many incentives for doing our best throughout the year. Last semester, a record of 30 sisters were named to the Dean's List and were rewarded with a Fondue event catered by a local cafe and recieved Scholarship Pearls to add on to their sorority pin.
Leadership
Personal growth and leadership are important as well. Kappa Kappa Gamma encourages members to seek opportunities for self-growth in a variety of interests within the chapter, campus, and greater community. Many new members learn of opportunities in other campus organizations and community groups through older members. We support other outside causes by forming teams together and raising money. Our 2009 Relay for Life team was one of the top teams!
Kappa Kappa Gamma also provides leadership opportunities in a mutually supportive environment. Sisters can serve in one of many offices - from social planners to budget keepers to t-shirt designers - and on committees based on their interests.
Philanthropy
Kappa Kappa Gamma members believe that philanthropy, or mutual helpfulness, is highly significant. Awareness of the needs of others is raised by participating in campus and community philanthropy events or raising money for the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
