Mu at Butler University

Mu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, founded in 1878, is the longest-standing fraternity on Butler University's campus.

Tade Hartsuff Kuhns, from Mu Chapter, attended the 1881 Convention and proposed that Kappa become the first women's fraternity to publish a magazine. This magazine, known as The Key, is still in circulation today. She also guided the fraternity in implementing a new form of government as its first Grand President while simultaneously serving as Mu Chapter president and carrying on as a student during her senior year.
Elizabeth Bogert Schofield, also from Mu Chapter, became Kappa's first "President" in 1940.
